INTRODUCTION: The formation of tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) following intubation is an infrequent complication that typically occurs in the setting of prolonged intubation rather than secondary to esophageal perforation.1 There are no reports of fistulization after post-intubation esophageal perforation.
