PURPOSE: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a prevalent life threatening acute medical condition. To review the clinical profile, diagnostic findings and adherence to the ACCP guidelines regarding management & delivery of thrombolytic therapy for patients with Acute Massive PEs across the Western Health group which manages 3 multispecialty hospitals with catchment area of 614 Square Miles. To assess the morbidity & mortality data associated with thrombolytic therapy in acute PEs.
