SESSION TITLE: Pulmonary Rehabilitation
SESSION TYPE: Original Investigation Slide
PRESENTED ON: Monday, October 24, 2016 at 07:30 AM - 08:30 AM
PURPOSE: We previously found that patients who were physically active prior to a hospitalization for a COPD exacerbation were at 34% lower risk of being readmitted to the hospital within 30 days compared to patients who were inactive. However, we have not explored whether older age moderates these effects. Therefore, we examined if older age attenuates the positive association between physical activity (PA) and 30-readmission risk in patients hospitalized for a COPD exacerbation.
