PURPOSE: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in older people. Obesity is common in patients with COPD. However, the exact prevalence of obesity and the efficacy of intervention is unknown. The aims of this systematic review were to investigate the prevalence of obesity in COPD patients and to explore the efficacy of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR).
