INTRODUCTION: Idiopathic chronic eosinophilic pneumonia (ICEP) is a rare disease characterized by indolent respiratory symptoms, peripheral opacities on imaging and pronounced eosinophilia. Data is limited regarding etiology or prevalence. ICEP has a 2:1 female:male predominance. Dramatic response is achieved with systemic corticosteroids. Yet, relapse is frequently seen.
