SESSION TITLE: Global Case Report Poster - Lung Cancer
SESSION TYPE: Global Case Report Poster
PRESENTED ON: Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 01:30 PM - 02:30 PM
INTRODUCTION: Teratomas arising entirely from within the lung is an extremely rare entity with less than 60 reported cases worldwide since it was first described in 1839. We present a case of a 22-year old female who was diagnosed with intrapulmonary teratoma after presenting with hemoptysis. This case highlights the importance of a combination of diagnostic tools to arrive at a correct diagnosis and timely treatment of a potentially curable benign intrapulmonary mass to prevent further fatal complications and morbidity.
