PURPOSE: According to the surgical cases reported in the present study, pneumothorax appears to be a very common condition among the young occurring at an increasingly early age. While once pneumothorax took place between 25 and 35 years of age, nowadays it affects more frequently young people who are less than 20 years old. It is important to know what will happen to these patients in the future.
