INTRODUCTION: According to the National Poison Control Data System, in 2011 calcium channel blocker (CCB) overdoses were among the most deadly (1). Despite this, treatment is unstandardized with heterogeneous poor quality data supporting therapeutic options. Conventional treatment for CCB overdose is multi-factorial and includes crystalloid, calcium, glucagon, intra-lipid emulsion, activated charcoal, vasopressors and high dose insulin infusion.
