INTRODUCTION: Nondiphterial corynebacteria, which normally colonize the skin and nasopharynx of humans, are becoming emerging pathogens in patients with immunosuppression or pulmonary disease (1). This report presents the first case of Corynebacterium striatum disseminated infection in a patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) (2).
