INTRODUCTION: Plasmapheresis is a modality used frequently in the treatment of TTP. It has improved the outcomes associated with TTP, however it is not a benign modality as it involves placement of invasive catheters and the risk of infections. We present a case of catheter related right-sided staphylococcus aureus endocarditis that mimicked symptoms of TTP.
