SESSION TITLE: Student/Resident Case Report Poster - Chest Infections I

SESSION TYPE: Student/Resident Case Report Poster

PRESENTED ON: Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 01:30 PM - 02:30 PM

INTRODUCTION: Cyrpotococcosis is mostly seen in patients with acquired immunodeficiency or those with underlying T cell mediated deficiency. However, case reports have shown that the 10-40% of cases are seen in immunocompetent patients. Nonetheless, severe disseminated Cryptococcosis remains a rare entity in those without any underlying immune dysfunction. We present a case of a previously healthy man who presented with disseminated Cryptococcosis.
