PURPOSE: Peripheral airway dysfunction underlies severe uncontrolled asthma. Inhaled corticosteroids and long acting β2 agonists (ICS/LABA) is widely used for being asthma controllers. Comparing efficacy of different ICS/LABA on peripheral airway function is limited. The aim of study is to compare effects of inhaled mometasone/formoterol (MF) to inhaled fluticasone/salmeterol (FS) on peripheral airway function among patients with moderate to severe asthma.
