Clinical Evaluation of Three Methods of Lung Lavage in Treatment of Pneumoconiosis FREE TO VIEW

PURPOSE: To evaluate the clinical effect of TBWLL and BAL and WLL in the treatment of pneumoconiosis.

METHODS: 133 cases of pneumoconiosis patients in our hospital in 2009-2014 according to the different treatments were divided into three groups,43 cases in TBWLL group, BAL, WLL 45 cases in each group, Compare the lavage volume, intubation times, hospital costs and clinical efficacy before and after treatment.

RESULTS: Compared with BAL, the graded lavage amount and total amount in TBWLL group increased significantly (P < 0.05). the hospitalization time shortened, the hospitalization cost reduced (P < 0.05). The graded lavage amount and total amount in TBWLL group were lower than WLL group (P < 0.05), the average hospitalization costs decreased (P < 0.05); There were no statistical difference in recent clinical symptom score improvement rate and lung function improvement rate in three group. The complications of postoperative infection in TBWLL and WLL group were lower than BAL group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONS: The three lung lavage methods has its own characteristics, TBWLL has a advantage of BAL and WLL, It is a better treatment of pneumoconiosis and is worthy of clinical promotion.

CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: At present, there is no specific treatment for pneumoconiosis, Lung lavage therapy is one of the effective methods for treatment of pneumoconiosis, TBWLL (Transbronchoscope Whole Lung Lavage) , is based on the traditional method of BAL technology improvement, it is a kind of technology innovation, has a good clinical curative effect, and the complication is low, is worthy of clinical promotion.
