Dr. Doerfler tells me my HDL and LDL
are acceptable, my PSA under one.
His digital exam indicates a prostate
with no rough edges.
I am in mint condition, like the spearmint
in a ditch off Rose Street.
In a dream, the spearmint appears as a garbage truck,
which tips in the ditch off Rose Street,
the driver trapped in the cab,
where I stay until help arrives.
The day of my dream and the day of my digital exam,
the township eradicated all the spearmint in the ditch.
