A 22-year-old, male African from Guinea-Bissau, who had arrived in Switzerland 6 months earlier, was admitted to the hospital because of night sweats, fever, and weight loss of 8 kg within 3 months. The patient also reported lower back pain and abdominal pain, progressive shortness of breath, and palpitations on exertion.
