The patient was very pleasant, alert and oriented, quite anxious, and not in any acute distress. Vital signs were as follows: temperature, 36.4°C; BP, 130/57 mm Hg; pulse rate, 95 beats/min; respiratory rate, 20 breaths/min; weight, 55.5 kg; and oxygen saturation, 98% on room air. The neck was supple, and there was normal jugular venous pressure and no lymphadenopathy. Chest examination revealed scattered rhonchi; the heart beats were regular with no murmur. The abdomen was soft and nontender. Lower extremities showed no edema, no calf tenderness, and no clubbing.
