The guidelines here have been condensed from How To Report Statistics in Medicine; Annotated Guidelines for Authors, Editors, and Reviewers.1 Authors should also consult other checklists for reporting specific research designs, such as the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials statement (CONSORT)2 for reporting randomized controlled trials, the Transparent Reporting of Evaluations With Nonrandomized Designs (TREND) statement3 for reporting nonrandomized trials, and the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) statement4 for reporting of observational studies.
